Luxury fashion brand Miu Miu presents series of short movies by female film makers dubbed ‘The Miu Miu Womens’ Tales’ . The first video that marks the launch of the series — ’The Powder Room’ — is created by Hollywood film director and actress Zoe Cassavetes and featuring such top models as Audrey Marnay , Line Gost , Caroline de Maigret , and Sophie Vlaming .

This dramatic movie is set in London’s posh Claridges hotel and sees 3 beautifully-dressed women carefully watching each other as they come  into the powder room . This piece takes us into an ultra-feminine environment where gestures between women are traded in a ritual of opulent beauty . The action is filled with stunning models , smoky eyes , elegant shoes and dresses .

“I love the idea of the powder room , the ritual that takes place within them is very important for women ,” says Cassavetes . “There’s something special about preparing yourself , a moment before the action takes place . I love the sense of intimacy . It’s a place away from men , where you can check out other women , and reglamorize yourself ready to face the world again .”

The next movies to be re leased in course of ‘Miu Miu Women’s Tales’ are to be announced at www.miumiu.com . You may visit the website for more behind the scene videos , photos and interviews .

On Thursday , 3 March 2011 , we went to computer application laboratory class for the third time . As usual , we also meet CI Witati , Ko Christopher and Ko Herman . Ko Christopher first taught us how to change our username in our microsoft outlook account . After that , he also told us that we can change our profile picture so that our friends can recognize us . Ko Christopher also taught us how to fill our information data in microsoft outlook like gender , birth date , address , phone number , mobile phone number , favorite quotations , and any other . We can also upload our photos to it so that many people can see that photos . After explain it all , Ko Christopher instructed us to do some make over to our microsoft outlook personally . So , me and my friends changed our microsoft outlook profile information and also our profile picture . We really enjoyed that time . After we done , Ci Witati told us that we gonna start our new lesson about blog . She told us to sign up in wordpress.com . unfortunately , because of the internet connectivity is kinda busy , we can’t made our account in wordpress . So , Ci Witati made it as our homework . And she instructed us too to make 5 post which one of them should be about the computer application laboratory classes . And that’s how our class ended , then we can go to our statictic laboratory class or we can played games first because there’s still 20 minutes for the next class . And here it is , my homework about computer application laboratory class which assigned by Ci Witati .

P.S : je vous remercie beaucoup adrian beau ! 😉

This post is gonna discuss about designer shoes which is usually expensive versus it imitation which is cheaper than the original one . Enjoy !

Nicholas Kirkwood-esque shoes at Aldo

Every high street shoe chain seems to be having a go at ‘doing’ Nicholas Kirkwood at the moment , and who can blame them ? His iconic styles are red hot right now and well out of the price range of the average shoe addict .

Aldo’s strappy black and electric blue platform sandal (pictured left , if you hadn’t clocked that) gets a thumbs-up from me as a great designer inspired shoe that’s not hiding its influences but isn’t relying too heavily on copycat tactics either . The vivid colour palate and exposed platform is very Kirkwood , but the straps bring a more relaxed tone to the shoes that would make them very wearable . £85 at Aldo (or £655 for the Nicholas Kirkwood pair in black , brown)

Cross-front Platform Pumps

Do you like the lighter heeled numbers on the left , or the contrasting dark and light option on the right ? There’s still a difference of $50 between them (originally there was over $100) . Which ones do you love the most ? And can you guess which are the cheapies ?

Patent Wedge MJ’s

showed just how easy it is to be fooled by a bit of colour , with 4 out of ten choosing the left shoe (actually from Steve Madden) as the pricey option , when it was in fact the right shoe that was the Stuart Weitzman offering .

What amazed me is that they’re almost identical apart from the fact that one pair costs well over $500 and the other only $30 !

Marc by Marc Jacobs vs Aldo

It is interesting to see an original style turn instantly generic in its high street incarnation . One of these styles is a Marc Jacobs original costing £450 , the other is a strangely familiar £70 shoe from Aldo . Looking these two pairs so close together does help you to appreciate the extra work that goes into the designer style , and it’s reassuring for those who fork out the extra cash to see how strongly the quality shows through . But if you think this is a style for one season only ,  it’s good to know you can capture it at a fraction of the cost .

Topshop vs YSL : The ‘Lou Lou’ braided wedge and the cheaper alternative

It is interesting to see that even a year after the Yves Saint Laurent ‘Lou Lou’ platform wedge hit the shelves , Topshop is still happy to use it as inspiration for an affordable alternative. In this season’s yellow , the strappy cross-front high wedge is yours for £60 ,  a far cry from the hundreds you would have paid for the designer originals .

Faith takes on Christian Louboutin

You don’t want fakes knocked-up in a sweatshop , but you’re equally reluctant to remortgage your house to pay for the real deal . What can you do ? Why , show your appreciation by buying an obviously Loubintin-inspired pair of shoes on the high street for a fraction of the price , of course . And that’s where brands like Faith come up trumps .

Their pewter ‘LeCloud’ peep toe slingbacks will never quite rival Louboutin’s iconic, metallic peep toes , but I’ve got to give them 7 out of 10 for effort . Yours for £65 at Debenhams .

Aldo take on Givenchy

Aldo’s ‘homage’ (right) has some superficial design variations (i.e. more straps) than the original , but is as close to the look as you can get without being a straight copy . The shoes fit snugly and comfortably and have a pleasing ‘weight’ to them . So if you can’t afford Givenchy , this would be my tip for an on-trend alternative . Guerette at Aldo : £90 .

Nicholas Kirkwood vs. Dotty P

I think the high street homage is a good buy for £40 . It’s been made in a blue that’s a lot more ‘trendy’ than the shade of the original , with quite a differently fashioned butterfly motif but one that that leaves us in no doubt what it’s referencing . Most importantly of all , the exposed platform is close enough to clinch the stytle . Nice work ! £40 at Dorothy Perkins .

2011 has come and it means the fashion trends has also changed . And this is it , the fashion trends for this fabulous spring !

1. Drop that Hem , Ladies

YSL , romanticism , color (or lack of) . These were the big trends of the season , skirts and dresses dropped well below the knees .

2. Jump Back

They were everywhere for day , but for evening consider the jumpsuit .

3. Pleats Aplenty

This girlish detail showed up this season in grown-up ways .

4. Animal Kingdom

In Paris’s final hours , the animals ruled the catwalk .

5. All About the Billow

Skirts swing away this season ,  from A-lines to pleated looks to the occasional ballerina .

6. The White Shirt

Good news for women who love the classic , crisp white dress shirt : Spring is your season .

7. The YSL Ripple

No man has been more influential , both obviously or subtly , this season than Yves Saint Laurent . The runways have been an ode to his signature color blocking , le smoking , posh peasants and even some safari .

8. Ruffled Up

Paris indulged its girly side this season .

9. Looking Minty Fresh

Pastel color is back !

10. Fruit Cocktail

Miuccia Prada and Stella McCartney were both inspired by the produce department for spring , but they stand on opposite sides of the aisle . Prada showed bold banana prints , while McCartney opted for a citrus mix : lemons , oranges , limes and grapefruit .

11. Spring 2011 Beauty Trend : Pluck You

While some designers have been letting Mother Nature have her way with models’ eyebrows , a few haven’t been afraid to bleach and pluck , pluck , pluck . In some cases , they’re bleaching , then totally covering them up with makeup .

12. Shoes Take Flight for Spring 2011

Shoes have been looking sturdy and practical this season . But that doesn’t mean there haven’t been flights of foot-fancy .Clockwise from top left : Emanuel Ungaro’s floral heels , Chanel’s laser-cut wedges , YSL’s winged-like wedges , Alexander McQueen’s butterfly shoes , Christian Dior’s feathered heels .
